Sunset Makai Hale is 1/2 block from Lawai Beach, one of the best places for ocean sports on the island. Whether it's snorkeling, swimming or surfing, Lawai Beach, and the adjoining P.K.'s, have it all. A 5 minute drive will take you to Poipu Beach, perfect for swimming, (with a separate lagoon for children), snorkeling, surfing and beach parties.

On Baby Beach. This sheltered cove is known to the locals as Kona Beach. It's a safe and enjoyable spot for children's swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. Just 2 blocks away you'll find one of the best surfing spots on the island, known as PK's. Other Poipu beaches, all within a five minute drive, include Poipu Beach, perfect for swimming (with a separate lagoon for young children), snorkeling, surfing, and beach parties, and Shipwreck Beach, best for experienced swimmers and surfers.
There is a king bed in the ocean bedroom, 2 twins beds, that can be converted into a king in the garden bedroom, a queen size sleeper sofa in the ocean front office/den and a king bed in the master suite.

The interior of this beachfront estate mirrors the home's Polynesian-style architecture. Complete with a three bedroom, two and one-half bath, main residence and a separate one bedroom, one bath guest house, Hale Luana offers the ease of island-style living, where all spaces open to the ocean. On the ground floor of the main residence are the living, dining and kitchen areas as well as the master suite. The living room is beach house comfortable, with Polynesian pillows and couches, along with an entertainment center. High speed Internet access is available via a DSL line for computers equipped with an Ethernet port. Dine either inside or out, poolside or beachside. The master suite is located at the far end on the ground floor of the main residence. It offers a king bed, spacious master bathroom and walk-in closet. On the upper level are two additional bedrooms connected by an oceanfront lanai, overlooking the sandy beach below. The guest cottage is set apart from the main residence by the swimming pool. This intimate one bedroom, one bath, cottage is complete with an airy living room and kitchenette. With design standards comparable to the main residence, the guest cottage affords friends or family private poolside and oceanside quarters. Ceiling fans keep the homes cool and comfortable.

Main Residence: There's a king bed in the master suite, a queen bed in the second bedroom and 2 twins in the third. Guest Cottage: there's a king bed in the master and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
