The Pinnacle cottage is located in Haiku, which sits on the north side of Maui, slightly up the side of Haleakala. Haiku is a small rural village, with a town center (Post Office, gym, bakery, pizza shop, grocery store, doctor, pharmacy, video shop etc). Be sure to stop at the cannery on West Kuiaha, for breakfast at Pauwela Cafe (they also have a fabulous Kalua turkey sandwich for lunch). Haiku offers quick access to Makawao (approx. ten minutes by car), which has a variety of great shops and several good restaurants. Paia is approximately ten minutes by car.
The Pinnacle Cottage was completed in September 2005, and offers a view of both Haleakala and the ocean. The cottage is 1000 sf (larger than most cottages), with covered deck, private hot-tub, laundry, TV/DVD, stereo, high-speed internet connection, and a fully equipped kitchen.
